The Irish Good Choice! Quality Food and Drink Awards 2017 will be donating all leftover food from their judging process. Donations will go to:

Leftover food from the judging process will be donated to the Capuchin Day Centre for Homeless People. It is situated in the north inner city area of Dublin and has been running since 1969. The centre was founded, and continues to be run by, Brother Kevin who has recently been made a freeman of Dublin city in recognition of his work. It used to cater for the large number of homeless men who frequented this area. The centre now caters for everybody including full families, both homeless and those that cannot afford to feed themselves.

The centre provides a hot breakfast 6 days a week to an average of 300 people each day and a full lunch daily serving 500+ people. Every Wednesday hampers of food are donated free of charge with a distribution of around 1,800 to 1,900.
